Project summary
A 234 MW floating solar power project is being developed across Panchet and Maithon reservoirs under the Damodar Valley Corporation. The project will be executed under an EPC contract awarded to a consortium of Truere Power and Oriana Power. The solar plants will be installed on floating platforms on reservoir surfaces to generate renewable electricity while optimising water surface use. The project forms part of efforts to expand renewable energy capacity and reduce dependence on conventional power generation.
