A Karnataka-based sugar mill is expanding its sucrose refining capacity to 6000 TMT by acquiring 181 acres of land with an estimated cost of Rs.1120.7 million. The investment proposal was approved by Karnataka State Level Single Window Clearance Committee in September 2022. The mill has a sugarcane crushing capacity of 12,000 TCD and produces sugar, molasses, and bagasse, and is owned by sugarcane farmers as a cooperative society.
