A new recycled polyester yarn manufacturing project is planned in SIDCO Industrial Baghthali, Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, with a production capacity of 75 metric tonnes per day for yarn and 210 metric tonnes per day for RPET flakes. Estimated to cost Rs. 6,350 million, the project has received consent from state pollution control authorities as of October 2024.
