A new 26 km third railway line is planned between Ranaghat and Krishnanagar in Nadia, West Bengal, including 4 major bridges, 6 minor bridges, and several ROBs/RUBs. The project, estimated at ₹4,459.5 million, is scheduled for construction from August 2026 to August 2028. As of October 2025, it is in the DPR/feasibility study stage under the EPC route.
