Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is planning a new onshore oil and gas exploration project across Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, and Ahmedabad districts in Gujarat. The project involves drilling and production from 600 wells across 37 PML blocks, with an estimated cost of Rs. 36,155 million. Construction began in April 2024 and is expected to complete by March 2030. As of October 2025, the project is under review by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, which has requested additional details for clearance consideration.
