Eastern Railway plans a Bhagalpur–Jamalpur third line in Bihar, including 14 ROB/RUBs, 24 major bridges, and 34 minor bridges. The project, estimated at Rs. 11,557.5 million, is scheduled for construction from September 2026 to September 2028. As of October 2025, the project is at the DPR/feasibility study stage and will be executed through the EPC route.
