A new 2.2 km long, three-lane transitory twin tunnel project is underway from Hebbal Junction to the KVAFSU campus in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Estimated at Rs. 11,300 million, the cut-and-cover underground development celebrated its groundbreaking milestone in June 2026. Responsibility for the infrastructure installation was transferred from the initial special purpose vehicle, B-SMILE, to the regional development authority.
