Sportking India plans to expand its polyester cotton yarn manufacturing in Bathinda, Punjab, by implementing a 10 MW Rooftop Solar Power Project and adding new spinning machinery. The solar power project will become operational in two phases, with 50% capacity in May 2022 and the balance in June 2022. The project involves adding 40,800 spindles for the production of polyester cotton yarn and another 63,072 spindles for manufacturing cotton compact yarn. The project has been approved by the board as of May 2022.
