ZF Group, a global auto parts leader, is set to open a new facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to strengthen its foothold in India's construction equipment sector. Scheduled for inauguration by June, 2025 the expansion aligns with projections that the Indian construction equipment industry will double in size over the next five years.

President of ZF Group India, Akash Passey, emphasised the company's commitment to long-term growth at the Bharat Mobility Expo in New Delhi.

The company is also scaling up its wind gearbox production capacity at the Coimbatore campus, with an investment of euro 50 million to boost output from nine GW to 12 GW by 2025.
