VueNow has inaugurated two new edge data centres in Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony was led by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Excise and Prohibition, Nitin Agarwal. These data centres are located at Malihabad and Ambedkarnagar.
In 2021, the company had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government, under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Currently, edge data centres are operational in Ghaziabad and Raebareli, and further plans include the launch of additional centres in Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, and Gorakhpur.
The land acquisition process for these upcoming centres has been completed, and their launch is expected soon.
VueNow, with support from the Uttar Pradesh government, is working towards setting up 750 edge data centres by 2028, which will make it the largest and densest such network in the world.
Equipped with technology, these centres will function as an information superhighway.
