Uttar Pradesh govt approves Rs 787 crore for Chilla elevated road

Infrastructure  -  Aug 03,2023  -

The Noida-Greater Motorway will connect Mayur Vihar in Delhi with the Chilla elevated road, for which the UP government has sanctioned a budget of Rs 787 crore.

In a letter, principal secretary Anil Kumar Sagar stated that the government and Noida Authority would split the funds equally. Therefore, the state government will contribute Rs 393 crore, leaving the Authority to cover the balance.

The implementing agency, UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd, will launch a tender to select a company by August 15 now that the finances are clear.

“The bid document is almost ready. We plan to issue the tender in the next two weeks. As of now, just a little over 10% of the work is over. The work that is remaining is expected to cost Rs 600 crore. We hope some reputable companies will express interest in the project,” said Sandeep Gupta, the UPSBCL chief project manager (tender),

Construction, however, will begin only after all the clearances have been received.
