Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) announced that Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd (TRSL) has won a contract worth Rs 350 crore.
For the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase-II Project, TRSL will design and produce 30 standard gauge cars.
From the date of the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), the prototype must be provided within 70 weeks, and delivery must be completed in 94 weeks. According to a release, these metro cars would be produced at the company's factory in Uttarpara, West Bengal.
The Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase-II Project is being implemented by GMRC at a cost of Rs 13,500 crore. The project will add 28.2 km of metro lines to the city's existing network. The company is a manufacturer of railway wagons and passenger coaches.
