As part of the Gadag-Wadi New Line Project, the South Western Railway has issued an EPC call for proposals for a new broad gauge (BG) line track between Shorapur and Shahpur.

The scope of work includes signalling, telecommunication and electrical works along with the building and completion of a new BG line track between Shorapur (incl.) and Shahpur (excl.), which is a 257 km long section of the Gadag-Wadi new line.

The projected cost of the contract is Rs 551.54 crore, and the estimated completion time is 24 months. The deadline for submission of bids is November 29, 2023.
