The South Western Railway has invited bids for new broad gauge (BG) line for Tumkur-Chitradurga-Davangere rail project in Karnataka.

The construction will be carried out between chainage 25.400 and chainage 66.400 (41.000 km) including electrical, signal and telecommunication works between Thimmarajanahalli (excl.) & Tavarekere (incl.) stations. The timeline for completion is 30 months for the contract valued at Rs 631.24 crore.

The end date for bid submission is 23 August, 2024.
