Tata Power Renewables Energy (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has successfully commissioned a 431 MW DC solar project in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.
The project covers 1,635.63 acres and features a unique combination of single-axis trackers and bi-facial modules, thereby setting a new benchmark for solar energy generation in India. This would enhance system efficiency by over 15 percent, resulting in extended peak power supply hours.
The project is a significant step towards advancing India's green energy transition, contributing to sustainability with an estimated CO2 offset of 7,80,300 tonne. the project’s role in proving the viability of cost-effective solar energy. TPREL's portfolio now stands at 10.9 GW, with 5.5 GW in various stages of implementation.
Its operational capacity has reached 5.4 GW, comprising 4.4 GW of solar and one GW of wind energy projects.
