Tata Power arm inks MoU to build 43.75 MW solar project for Mukand Ltd

A deal to construct a 43.75 MW captive solar project for Mukand Ltd., a company in the Bajaj Group, was signed by Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL).

The installation, which is situated in Jamkhed, Maharashtra, is anticipated to produce 99.82 MUs (million units) yearly and offset 54,687 tonne CO2 emissions.

According to a BSE filing by Tata Power, TPREL is responsible for building, running, and maintaining the captive solar power plant in accordance with the terms of the Power Delivery Agreement (PDA).

The project is expected to be completed by March 2024.

The plant's primary objective is to fulfil Mukand's energy needs while promoting environment-friendly practices within their stainless-steel manufacturing operations.
