Tamil Nadu Signs ₹2,700 Crore Life Sciences MoUs With Eight Companies At Vettri Investors Conclave 2026

The Tamil Nadu government has signed MoUs with eight life sciences companies involving proposed investments of more than ₹2,700 crore, aimed at strengthening the state's life sciences sector. The agreements were signed in the presence of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at the "Vettri Tamil Nadu Investors Conclave 2026" in Chennai, part of a broader set of 97 MoUs worth ₹67,542 crore signed across multiple sectors including automotive, renewable energy, electronics, R&D and data centres.

Trivitron Healthcare announced a ₹200 crore brownfield expansion, expected to create around 200 direct jobs while strengthening capabilities across molecular diagnostics, intensive care and dialysis. Caplin Point Laboratories signed an MoU for ₹925 crore to establish four new pharmaceutical manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu, including a biologics and biosimilars unit and a hormone injectables unit.

Green Signal Bio Pharma announced a ₹130 crore investment focused on vaccine manufacturing in Tiruvallur, expected to create 120 jobs. CellBios Healthcare & LifeSciences signed an MoU for ₹150 crore to set up greenfield manufacturing units for cell and gene therapy-based products across Dindigul and Krishnagiri.

AcrannoLife Genomics announced a ₹210 crore investment for the development of molecular diagnostics, genomics and precision medicine equipment. KP Manish Global Ingredients committed ₹600 crore toward APIs and pharmaceutical excipients manufacturing. Genrobotics signed an MoU for a ₹150 crore investment over five years to establish a robotics manufacturing base in Tamil Nadu, targeting more than 1,000 jobs and positioning the state as a manufacturing and export hub for robotics solutions.
