Steelbird Hi-Tech India MD Rajeev Kapur said that the company has developed plans to raise annual helmet manufacturing by 50% to 15 million units in two years and is considering a greenfield plant in Tamil Nadu.

During an interaction, Kapur stated, "We sold 6.2 million helmets last year, and this fiscal, we are aiming to sell 10 million units."

The helmet manufacturer currently operates eight plants—four in each of Baddi and Noida—producing 30,000 units daily.

The MD stated that this number would be increased to 50,000 daily units in order to fulfil the company's production goal of 15 million units by the upcoming Deepavali.
