SRF has completed the commissioning and capitalisation of its fluorocarbon refrigerant gas expansion project at Dahej, Gujarat.

Initially approved by the Board on 28 July 2021, part of the project was commissioned on 30 December 2023 at a cost of Rs 317 crore. The remaining portion was commissioned and capitalised on 21 February, 2025, bringing the total project cost to approx. Rs 361 crore.

This expansion enhances the company’s refrigerant production capacity, catering to rising demand in cooling and industrial applications. Located in Dahej, Gujarat, a key chemical manufacturing hub, the facility strengthens India’s position in the global fluorochemicals market.

With this investment, the company continues to lead in fluorocarbon technology, supporting industries like HVAC, refrigeration, and industrial cooling. The company’s move aligns with India’s growing focus on advanced chemical manufacturing and self-reliance in critical industrial sectors.
