SJVN receives LoI for solar project worth over Rs 1,100 crore

SJVN has been awarded a letter of intent (LoI) by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL) to set up a 200 MW solar power project in GUVNL Phase-XXII. The estimated cost of the development of this project is Rs 1,100 crore.

The ground-mounted solar project will be developed by SJVN's subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), anywhere in India through an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract.

The project would be commissioned in a period of 18 months from the date of signing of power purchase agreement (PPA). This PPA shall be signed between GUVNL and SGEL for 25 years.

The PPA would be executed with GUVNL after the adoption of the tariff by Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission (GERC).

Upon commissioning, the project is expected to generate 508.4 million units in the initial year and the projected cumulative energy generation over a period of 25 years is 11,836.28 million units.
