Sincere Developers, the owner of the Taj Hotel & Convention Centre property in Agra, Uttar Pradesh has announced plans to set to at least three super luxury hotels under the Indian Hotels Company's (IHCL) Taj brand name in a near-future horizon.

The three hotels will come up in the next three years and the tie up will be with Taj. Across these properties, the company is looking at building about 450 rooms (150 rooms each) with a total investment of about Rs 1,000 crore.

The properties are proposed to be located in pilgrim towns and tourist destinations. The locations include Rishikesh, Dharamshala and Jim Corbett Park, and could command a rate of at least Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000 per night.

The firm also plans to set up a luxury property in a tea garden in Assam. The company would eventually have at least seven to eight super luxury hotels in as many years.

The demand for super luxury hotels has gone up among domestic travellers, in line with a demand for luxury homes. However, utmost priority would be given to sustainability.
