Shivtek Spechemi to Invest ₹50 Crore in New Specialty Chemical Plant on Land Bought from Bodal Chemicals in Rajpura, Punjab
Shivtek Spechemi Industries Ltd, a flagship company of the Shiva Group of Industries, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bodal Chemicals Ltd to acquire approximately 8 acres of land in Rajpura, Punjab, for a new specialty chemical manufacturing facility.
The company has committed an investment of ₹50 crore towards the land acquisition and development of Phase I and Phase II of the plant. The facility will operate adjacent to Bodal Chemicals' existing plant in Rajpura, enabling a direct chlorine pipeline supply between the two sites.
The planned plant will produce chlorinated paraffin, chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and green plasticizers. The project marks the first phase of a multi-stage expansion for Shivtek, with the 8-acre parcel intended to accommodate future expansion as well.
The facility is planned to incorporate solar power, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, and controls on air and water emissions, in line with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF) norms. Commissioning is contingent on MoEF clearances, with operations targeted by end of 2026 or Q4 FY27.
