Schneider Electric has announced plans to open three new manufacturing plants in India. The new facilities will be located in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Ahmednagar.
The company currently operates 31 plants in India and sees the nation as a key strategic market.
Speaking at ELECRAMA 2025, Schneider Electric CEO Olivier Blum highlighted Schneider’s commitment to India’s digitalisation, sustainability, and infrastructure modernisation.
The company is leveraging AI and digitisation to drive growth in the Indian energy sector, focusing on technologies like digital grids, IoT-enabled energy resources, microgrids, smart buildings, and smart cities.
Schneider Electric has already committed Rs 3,200 crore towards expansion, adding 1.2 million sq. ft. of manufacturing space by 2026.
