SBEC Sugar gets consent from UPPCB for plant capacity expansion

SBEC Sugar has received consent to establish (CTE) from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB).

It pertains to establishing a new unit or diversification plan for the expansion of the plant capacity to 10,000 tcd under the provisions of Water (Prevention and control of pollution) Act, 1974 as amended and Air (Prevention and control of Pollution) Act, 1981.

The company will undertake the expansion of the capacity of the existing sugar manufacturing unit at Loyan Malakpur village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. 

The project will be spread over 49.98 acres of land and also comprises of co-generational power plant with the capacity of 36 MW.
