Saurashtra Cement (SCL) has announced the commencement of production at the company’s cement plant in Gujarat.

The plant is situated at Sidheegram in Gir Somnath district. The company's kiln at Sidheegram plant had been stopped for about 10-15 days on account of higher clinker inventory.

SCL markets cement under the brand name 'HATHI. SCL is an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified company which manufacturers Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC), Ordinary Portland Cement, SRPC types of cement and clinker.
