Sagar Cements plans Rs 330 crore capital investment for FY25

Sagar Cements has lined up a capital investment to the tune of Rs 330 crore in the current financial year. Of this, Rs 250 crore to Rs 270 crore is allocated towards the Andhra Cements' plant, while Rs 20 crore will be deployed for a six MW solar plant at Gudipadu in Andhra Pradesh. For other projects at Jeerabad and Gudipadu, the capex is approx. Rs 20 crore each.

Some portions of the proposed capex will be used towards modernisation, and not only for incremental volumes. The investment will be made mainly from a perspective of reducing the cost as part of long-term initiatives.

In capacity utilisation in FY25, Sagar Cements generated volumes of about 5.51 million MT against a guidance of closing the year with 5.6 million MT. However, for FY25, the overall volume targeted is 6.5 mn MT.

The company is steadily moving toward the green energy path., with target to have 50 percent green power in its portfolio by 2030.
