RHI Magnesita Signs JV with Khemka Refractories for Greenfield Refractory Recycling Plant in Odisha
RHI Magnesita has announced a strategic joint venture with Khemka Refractories, a refractory raw-materials manufacturer in India, to set up a greenfield refractory recycling facility in Odisha.
The facility will be located close to major steel producers and industrial manufacturers in the state, positioning it within India's core steel production belt. The plant will focus on recovery, processing and reuse of spent refractory materials, aiming to build an integrated recycling supply chain for the refractory sector.
The joint venture is intended to increase the availability of high-value raw materials for refractories and other markets, while offering customers recycling and sustainability-focused solutions tied to circular business models.
