Resonia Commissions Fatehgarh-Beawar 765 kV Transmission Projects in Rajasthan, Adding 9 GW of Renewable Power Evacuation Capacity
Resonia has commissioned two transmission projects in Rajasthan through its special purpose vehicles, Beawar Transmission (BTL) and Fatehgarh III Beawar Transmission Limited (F3BTL). Together they provide 9 GW of power evacuation capacity along the Fatehgarh-Beawar corridor. The corridor supports the transfer of Rajasthan’s renewable energy into the national grid.
BTL provides 4.5 GW of evacuation capacity. The article gives its commissioning date as September 23, 2025. The project comprises:
- A 765 kV double-circuit Fatehgarh-Beawar line covering 838 circuit km.
- A 3,000 MVA, 765/400 kV AIS substation at Beawar.
- Two LILO connections.
- A ±600 MVAR STATCOM at Fatehgarh III.
F3BTL also provides 4.5 GW of evacuation capacity and was commissioned in March 2026. It comprises a 765 kV double-circuit Fatehgarh-3 to Beawar line covering 635 circuit km and two 765 kV line bays at Fatehgarh.
The corridor passes through Jaisalmer, Barmer, Balotra, Jodhpur Gramin, Pali, Beawar and, for F3BTL, Ajmer. Resonia used drone-based conductor stringing with Infravision technology, crane-assisted tower erection and route optimisation across the desert terrain.
