Reliance to set up textile park in 880 acres of land near Pradhan Port

The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation is likely to  hand over 880 acres of land owned by the revenue department in Mahim and Tokrale areas to Reliance Industries Limited by MIDC for a textile park.


It is reported that an application has been made to Palghar District Collector from MIDC.

It is reported that a meeting was held in the State Deputy Chief Minister's office on September 6 and September 11 regarding the proposed expansion of Reliance's textile park near the port.

It is reported that Reliance Industries Ltd. has written correspondence with MIDC to request land for construction of textile park. Letters on September 16 and September 21 have been sent to MIDC.

112 hectares i.e. 276 acres in Survey No. 6, 8, 10, 11, 12A, 13, 14, 31, 33 and 34 at Tokarale (Kelve Road) in Palghar Taluk and 63 hectares i.e. 155 acres in Survey No. 835/1 of Mahim village and Apart from 117 hectares i.e. 289 acres of land in Survey No. 836, 45.5 hectares and 111 acres of land in Survey No. 974 of Mahim village have been sought for textile park.
