Refex Group, located in Chennai, would invest Rs 1,300 crore in its green mobility initiative over the next three years to expand its business. Third-party staff transportation is provided by Refex Green Mobility using electric cars (EV).

Refex Green is based in Bengaluru and plans to deploy 10,000 automobiles before extending to additional cities such as Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi. The company began operations in Chennai on Monday with 49 vehicles.

Refex Group has been in business for over two decades and has expanded into areas such as refrigerant gas, renewables, ash and coal handling, medical technologies, pharmaceuticals, airports, and transportation, among others.

“We are planning to invest around Rs 1,300 crore in the next three years to expand our presence across the country,” said Anil Jain, managing director of Refex Group.
