Railways Sanctions Final Location Survey for 191 km Rewari–Jaipur New Rail Line via Neemrana, Haryana–Rajasthan
The Ministry of Railways has sanctioned a Final Location Survey (FLS) for a proposed 191 km railway line between Rewari in Haryana and Jaipur in Rajasthan via Neemrana. The survey will be used to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The Ministry confirmed this in a written Lok Sabha reply dated 25 March 2026.
The line would add a third rail connection between Delhi and Jaipur through Rewari. The two existing routes run via Alwar and Bandikui, and via Ringus. Reports suggest the new route could cut Delhi–Jaipur travel time by up to 1.5 hours. The Ministry has not confirmed this figure.
Reports mention Shahjahanpur, Behror, Kotputli, Paota-Pragpura and Shahpura along the alignment. The Ministry has confirmed only the overall Rewari–Jaipur route via Neemrana. Intermediate stations will depend on the survey and later planning.
The line would serve the Khushkhera Bhiwadi Neemrana industrial belt, which includes the RIICO-developed Japanese Investment Zone at Neemrana. The proposal is linked to the earlier Delhi Bhiwadi Neemrana Manoharpur Jaipur railway proposal under the Delhi–Mumbai Industrial Corridor.
