Powerica Signs PPA with GUVNL for 100 MW Wind Power Project in Gujarat
Powerica Limited has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for the development of a 100 MW wind power project in Gujarat. Under the 25-year agreement, the project will supply electricity to GUVNL at a tariff of ₹3.435 per kWh, with completion scheduled within 24 months.
The project follows GUVNL's July 2026 auction to procure power from 250 MW of grid-connected wind projects under Phase XI. In that auction, NLC India Renewables secured 100 MW, while Juniper Green Energy and Powerica each won 50 MW, all at a tariff of ₹3.51 per kWh. Cu-Built Renewable Energy secured the remaining 50 MW at ₹3.52 per kWh.
The Powerica project adds to GUVNL's broader renewable energy procurement pipeline, which has also included recent power purchase agreements with SJVN for supply from upcoming hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh, comprising the 66 MW Dhaulasidh, 210 MW Luhri Stage-I and 382 MW Sunni Dam hydroelectric projects.
