PM inaugurates projects worth more than Rs 68,000 crore in Sambalpur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated, dedicated to the nation, and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 68,000 crore in Sambalpur, Odisha.

These development projects aim to boost the energy sector involving natural gas, coal, power generation, road, railway roads, and petroleum in the state.

It will also create thousands of new employment opportunities for the youth of Odisha. Prime Minister inaugurated a 412-km-long Dhamra-Angul pipeline section of the Jagdishpur-Haldia & Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline project (JHBDPL).

Built at a cost of over Rs 2,450 crore under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga’, the project will connect the state with the National Gas Grid.

The PM also laid the foundation stone of the Nagpur-Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline section (692 km) of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda pipeline.

The project, which will be developed at a cost of more than Rs 2,660 crore, will enhance the natural gas availability to states like Odisha, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh. PM Modi dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone of multiple power projects worth approx. Rs 28,980 crore.

The projects to be dedicated to the nation includes NTPC Darlipali super thermal power station (2x800 MW) and NSPCL Rourkela PP-II expansion project (1x250 MW) in Sundargarh.
