Oil India, GMC ink MoU for transformation of municipal solid waste into CBG
Environment - Jan 22,2024 -Oil India (OIL) and Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the transformation of municipal solid waste (MSW) into compressed biogas (CBG).
The MoU was signed by senior representatives from OIL and GMC at the NRL Corporate Office, Guwahati. This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to environmental conservation, efficient waste management, and the generation of clean energy.
By leveraging the expertise of both OIL and GMC, this initiative intends to contribute significantly to the reduction of carbon footprint and promote a more sustainable and eco-friendly future, in a move towards environmental sustainability and cleaner energy solutions.
