The Odisha government has authorised nine new industrial projects totaling Rs. 873.57 crore.
According to a press release, these projects, which will be built in the state's Khurda, Sundargarh, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Jajpur, Deogarh, and Jharsuguda districts, would increase employment prospects by more than 2,500 and strengthen Odisha's economy.
Petronet LNG Limited's Compressed Bio Gas and Fermented Organic Manure Plant, with a 33,065 MT annual capacity and a dual benefit of chemical manufacturing and renewable energy, was approved at a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) presided over by Chief Secretary P K Jena.
Similarly, Pearl Precision Products Pvt Ltd will set up a cutting-edge Plastic Faucet, Water Tank, Pipes, and Fittings manufacturing unit at Paradeep Plastic Park, Jagatsinghpur. Similarly, IndopetPolyplast Pvt Ltd will establish a high-capacity manufacturing unit for Food Grade Pet Bottles, Jars & Pre-forms, with an annual capacity of 8,000 MT in Khurda.
The SLSWCA has also given its approval to the TRL Krosaki Refractories Ltd’s comprehensive project. “Spanning 57,000 MT basic raw material grinding unit, 11,700 MT monolithic raw material grinding unit, 8,900 MT high alumina raw material grinding unit, and 14,400 MT grog processing unit, this venture is located in Jharsuguda.”
