A plan to build a utility corridor between the Gopalpur port and the Tata Steel Industrial Park in Gopalpur was authorized by the Odisha cabinet.
At a cost of Rs 128.88 crore, the utility corridor would be constructed to provide logistics support for both established and emerging enterprises.
Ten suggestions from various ministries were approved during the cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, according to reports.
Chief secretary PK Jena announced the choices and stated that the government has made a forward-thinking step to meet the needs of the Gopalpur industrial park's emerging and established enterprises for efficient and cost-effective logistics.
The project will be implemented through IDCO. The project cost includes construction and maintenance of the project during the defect liability period of five years besides the operation and maintenance period of 10 years.
