NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) and V O Chidambaranar Port Authority (VOCPA) have collaborated to establish a green hydrogen centre in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu.

In this regard, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), according to NTPC.

Green hydrogen and its derivatives, such as green ammonia and green methanol, will be produced at the VOCPA-provided hub.

NTPC Group intends to construct a renewable energy capacity of 60 GW by 2032 and is now working on a pipeline of more than 20 GW.
