NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., is set to build a solar power plant with a capacity of 630 megawatts in Barethi (District-Chhatarpur) in Khajuraho Lok Sabha Constituency.
In a statement, the Ministry of Power said this will be under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) mode sanctioned by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy under the Solar Parks scheme.
The land for the project has been transferred to NREL. The company has also been issued with a Notice Inviting Tender for the EPC package and pooling substation package.
The solar project tender will be awarded in September 2024 and the plant is scheduled to be completed by March 2026.
