North Bengal to get largest ethanol factory at Malda at a cost of Rs 300 crore

Petroleum  -  Jul 31,2023  -

On 52 acres of property valued at Rs 300 crore, under the Gazole police station, close to the 21 Mile area, the largest ethanol plant in North Bengal would be constructed.

This factory will directly employ about 500 people. The West Bengal government leased nearly 28.15 acres of land for the factory's construction on a 99-year basis; the firm itself purchased the remaining property.

The work will start up quickly, and manufacturing will begin within the next eight months, according to the plant authorities.

The district administration and the Chief Minister were praised by the factory owners for extending their cooperation in the construction of the facility.

2 lakh liters of ethanol will be produced at the factory everyday and various government oil companies can buy this directly. Of the 500 people who will be directly employed, 300 will be skilled workers and 200 unskilled.
