The Ministry of Coal announced that NLC India (NLCIL) has won the commercial coal block e-auction for the North Dhadu (western section) coal mine in Jharkhand.

NLCIL hopes to increase capacity with our first commercial coal mine in accordance with its corporate strategy.

The mine's peak rated capacity is three million tpa, and its coal reserves are 434.65 MT. Additionally, the NLC company from Tamil Nadu is running three opencast lignite mines in Neyveli with a combined installed capacity of 30 million tpa.

Apart from this, the company has an opencast lignite mine at Barsingsar in Rajasthan, and Talabira in Odisha
