NHPC has issued a request for proposals to develop 1,200 MW of inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects. The projects will be located anywhere in India.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit Rs 942,000 per MW as an earnest money deposit. The bidders can bid a maximum capacity of 600 MW (with a greenshoe option) and 1,200 MW (without a greenshoe option).
Whereas, the bidder can bid for a minimum contracted capacity of 30 MW for projects in north-eastern states and special category areas. The bid submission deadline is June 29, 2024.
The bidders are allowed to set up solar projects anywhere in India on land that can be either purchased or leased at their own cost and risk. When submitting their bids, bidders must indicate the proposed locations for their projects.
In order to minimise technological uncertainties and guarantee the prompt commissioning of projects, only commercially proven and operational technologies are allowed for implementation.
