The Viksit Bharat Mumbai Marina will be developed on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis with a 45-year concession. The project covers a protected water area of 37.3 hectares. Phase I will provide 424 berths, and the marina will accommodate 604 yachts at full build-out.

MbPA has obtained environmental and Coastal Regulation Zone clearances for the entire project area.

The scope also covers dry stack storage, a fuel station, a five-star hotel, a tourism business centre and retail zones. A ground for boat shows and events, along with food and beverage outlets, is also planned.
