The Maharashtra government has embarked on an ambitious plan to set up 18 Mini Textile Parks across the state.
These parks are expected to attract an investment of Rs 1800 crore while generating employment for 36,000 individuals.
Highlighting the state's commitment, eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with key industry players for setting up textile units in Pune, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Amravati, and Wardha.
The Maharashtra Textile Department has signed an MoU with the Maharashtra State Skills University, targeting the cultivation of young talent and the enhancement of skill sets in the textile sector.
Additionally, an agreement with the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) aims to support the department's initiatives in the technical textiles sector through cutting-edge research and development.
