Madhya Pradesh receives investment proposals of over Rs 3 lakh crore

The Madhya Pradesh Government secured investment proposals exceeding Rs 3 lakh crore during the State’s Global Investors Summit (GIS). 

Officials signed MoUs across key sectors, including renewable energy, trade, innovation, and skill development.

Among the major investment proposals, the Adani Group committed around Rs 1.1 Lakh crore to pumped storage, cement, mining, smart meters, and thermal energy. 

These projects would generate 1.2 lakh jobs by 2030. Additionally, there are ongoing discussions with the government for another 1 Lakh INR-Crore to develop a greenfield smart city, a large airport, and a coal gasification facility.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd partnered with the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd to establish renewable power projects worth an estimated Rs 1.2 lakh crore. 

Furthermore, NTPC and the state government signed another MoU to build non-fossil fuel power plants, requiring an additional Rs 80,000 crore investment.
