L&T bags major order for coal-to-chemicals plant in Odisha

Larsen & Toubro has secured a large order from BCGCL for a coal-to-chemicals plant in Odisha with a production capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day.
The facility will convert coal into ammonium nitrate, a critical input used in mining and industrial explosives.
The project reflects growing investments in downstream coal utilisation as India seeks to reduce dependence on imported chemicals and feedstock.
L&T stated that the order strengthens its position in complex industrial EPC projects and process plant engineering.
