KSB to Invest ₹40 Crore in Shirwal Plant Expansion for Energy and Oil & Gas Sector Pumps

Equipment Aug 06,2026

KSB Limited has initiated a capacity expansion at its Shirwal plant in Satara, Maharashtra, to meet growing demand from the energy and oil & gas sectors. The expansion is backed by a planned investment of ₹40 crore, funded entirely through internal accruals rather than debt.

The project will expand the facility's annual pump manufacturing capacity by 20%, utilising newly acquired adjoining land. A new manufacturing shed has been constructed to handle project pumps, piping, painting and packing operations. Completion of the new shed and integration of the expanded capacity is scheduled for 2027.

The expansion is aimed at strengthening KSB's position as a supplier of specialised pumps for highly technical applications in conventional and nuclear power generation, as well as oil and gas projects.

The move comes as the company continues to secure key domestic orders, including its first low-pressure water injection pumps order for the Gadarwara Power Project and an order for shutdown cooling pumps for the Kaiga Units 5 and 6 Nuclear Project, reinforcing its order pipeline in the energy sector.
