KRDCL-RVNL JV has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a project worth Rs 438.95 crore from Southern Railway.

The contract includes the redevelopment of Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. It is to be executed in 42 months, on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode. RVNL holds 49 percent in the JV, while KRDCL holds 51 percent.

Earlier this month, RVNL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Turkish Engineering Consulting and Contracting-TUMAS India to foster partnership and collaborate on public transportation projects and infrastructure ventures in India. And last month, the company emerged as the lowest bidder for three orders.
