Kewal Kiran Clothing plans capacity expansion

Manufacturing  -  Jun 25,2024  -

Denim brand Killer Jeans’ manufacturer Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited plans to launch new brick-and-mortar stores in the 2025 financial year to widen its customer base.

The business also aims to increase its manufacturing capacity with a total investment of more than Rs 35 crore.

“We will invest every year from now on to expand capacity,” said KKCL’s joint managing director Hemant Jain, India Retailing reported. “We will invest over Rs 35 crore in FY25 for the two purposes.”

This fiscal, KKCL plans to launch over 10 brick-and-mortar stores in India before March 2025 to bring its total store count to more than 40. The business aims to have the new stores operational before the coming autumn festive season, which is traditionally a busy time for apparel shopping and gifting.

To boost its manufacturing, KKCL will take on a brownfield project located beside its existing facilities in Vapi and Daman, India Retailing reported. The goal is to bring the business’ overall manufacturing capacity to 10 million units each year, up from its current total of eight million units per annum.
