Infrastructure  -  Dec 04,2023  -

KBR and Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd. (GNFC) have achieved a significant milestone in their collaboration with the successful commissioning of KBR's second facility in Gujarat, India, which utilizes KBR's exclusive MAGNAC concentrated nitric acid (CNA) technology.
Utilizing these sustainable technologies that recycle process water without treatment and have been shown to increase energy efficiency and lower emissions, the plant is built to handle 150 metric tons of CNA each day.
This accomplishment demonstrates KBR's dedication to providing innovative, eco-friendly solutions and advancing the worldwide movement toward circular industrial practices.
A longstanding partner for KBR, all four of GNFC’s current CNA plants are operated using KBR’s nitric acid concentration processes, MAGNAC and NACSAC, producing concentrated nitric acid from fresh, weak nitric acid.
