Karnataka Tourism Department approves 27 major projects worth Rs 793 crore

The Karnataka Tourism Department recently approved 27 major projects worth an estimated Rs 793 crore. 

This significant investment aims to boost tourism in the state and enhance the overall tourist experience.

The department reviewed 28 proposals, of which 27 were approved. Among these are two mega projects, each with an investment exceeding Rs 100 Crore.

The Taj Group will establish a large hotel with 99 beds in Hampi. 

Moreover, a state-of-the-art air dome will be constructed near Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, with an investment of Rs 100 crore. 

This facility will host international-level conferences, summits, and symposiums.

Meanwhile, other key projects include 12 premium hotels, 13 standard-grade hotels, a roadside amenity project, and a wellness center.

These tourism projects in Karnataka are expected to create around 4,000 direct jobs, significantly boosting the state’s tourism infrastructure and economy. 

Moreover, these projects will be implemented over the next few years, transforming Karnataka into a premier tourism hub.
